Chris 'The Honz' Jones was born under an expensive looking pool table 280 B.C. where I happened to be sleeping at the
time. My new under-table room mate spent the next milyun years telling me various stories about American football until
he decided to play English football.
This began a fantastic relationship between 'The Honz' and his ball and before you know it he
was booming them in from all over the pool table.
With various clubs rushing to sign him in the latter years, Jones was well-known for his consistency,
powerful (if not accurate) shot and un-nerving influence on his fellow players, forever carrying himself with the motto 'losing
isn't an option'.
At the helm of the Unix until quite recently when the club underwent a merger with jolly
green outfit Gidea Park Giants, Jones was always a permanent fixture with the club in some form. Sometimes sidelined
by injury, Jones grew a penchant for sidelinery, barking orders at his almost forever ailing team, giving them the 'benefit'
of his view from the gate.
His fresh start at Romford Town FC finds him in two main roles at the club. The first
is his undying love of the administrative side of football, helping out in any way possible with the day to day running of
the club. Truth be known, Jones came up with the name and as previously noted; the colours of the kit. Also helping
to round up the players Jones has shown a dedication matched only by his lacklustre attitude. Maybe. Secondly
he will playing for the club at every opportunity as an outfield player. Improving fitness and staff moral Jones will
be the captain of the club.
