Rival's beaten for first time by Towners!!!

Romford Town 12 - 6 Hi Sue Utd

The Towners knew this was going to be a difficault game before the first kick was even done in this game....

Without the influential players such as Steve Hammond, Mike Firmin, DMK and Mike Reade the Towners had to drag in some ringers, in come Nick Shoesmith, Samir, and some bloke called Mike who will be joining Liberty football club next season.

John McGhee took the reigns in goal in the absence of the cat Mike Firmin.

The game started slowly with both teams playing very cautiosly. The Town eventually took the lead tho, some good work on the left from Jones was followed with a great cross to Murrell who had the simple task of passing into the net past a very shoddy Hi Sue keeper. Hi Sue soon replyed tho with a well placed shot past Mcghee in the bottom left corner.

Towners soon retook the league and Jones started his goal fest with a super finish before Hi Sue once again equalised to make it 2-2. The game then started to flow and the goals were flowing as well. Half time come and it was 6 - 4 to the Towners.

A stern talking to by Samir and Murrell got the Towners organised at half time and as soon as the boys went back out on the pitch, they started to bang in the goals once more. Jones bagging plenty more goals, a couple even Di Canio would be proud with. Murrell continued to hit the net as well with a well taken hat trick.

McGhee pulled off a great diving save in the middle of the second half to his left hand side, the training he has been getting from Andy Moffatt is definatly starting to pay off. Also Roger Dogs is really shining as well again, a really strong perfomance from the man they call Dogs.

Full time come and the score was 12 - 6, well played lads, the title is in sight.
